Everyone's Welcome Here

Yoga comes in many styles, and there’s a way to practise that suits every body — all shapes, sizes, ages, levels of fitness, and flexibility. At our Maidenhead studio, classes are small and welcoming, with a maximum of eight students, so you get personal attention and a practice that meets you exactly where you are in life.

Our sessions are breath-led, mindful, and adaptable, blending strength, mobility, and relaxation to support both body and mind. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have years of experience, you’ll find a pace and style that works for you.

Most classes are taught by Kate, but we have visiting yoga teachers so your classes can go ahead through the year.

Your Practice - Your Pace

I adapt every class to the people in front of me — no two sessions are ever exactly the same. My teaching style is gentle, inclusive, and rooted mainly in Hatha yoga, with space for each person to work at their own pace. While my formal training is in both Ashtanga and Hatha, my approach has been shaped by over 40 years of personal practice and learning from many inspiring teachers around the world.

For some, yoga is about building physical strength, mobility, and better health. For others, it’s about finding stillness, calming the mind, and cultivating resilience from within. Most often, it’s a blend of both — helping you feel stronger in your body while also more centred and at ease in yourself.

In today’s fast-moving world, that combination of physical vitality, peace of mind, and inner steadiness is not a luxury — it’s essential. My aim is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore what yoga can mean for you, and take those benefits into your daily life.

What to Expect at Caramaya Yoga

Our classes are thoughtfully designed sequence of asanas (postures) chosen to help you feel more open, strong, and steady,  breathwork to enhance focus, energy, and overall vitality. Each session closes with relaxation, allowing your body and mind to fully absorb the benefits of your practice so you leave feeling refreshed, lighter, and more at ease.

Classes are small and welcoming, with adaptations to suit your body on the day. Whether you’re looking to build strength and flexibility, improve posture, release tension, or simply take an hour for yourself, you’ll be guided at a pace that feels both supportive and encouraging.

If you’d like a more personalised experience, I offer one-to-one sessions tailored entirely to your needs. These are ideal if you’re new to yoga, returning after a break, recovering from injury, working towards a specific goal, or simply wanting dedicated time and attention. Together we design each session to focus on the postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation practices that best support your body, your lifestyle, and your wellbeing.
